California-based Jellibeans has developed software that analyzes fashion trends and assesses the market position of designs. Their platform also facilitates global collaboration among design stakeholders. Aussco, a high-street knitwear supplier, recently invested $1 million in the five-year-old startup due to the appeal of Jellibeans’ product suite.
AI is expected to continue its rapid evolution, becoming even more integrated into our daily lives. AI-driven solutions will be prevalent in various sectors, from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and education.
Toward 6G and Beyound
During a session focused on the future of 6G at the mobile world congress, distinguised speakers representing companies of significant repute, including samsung, the european space agency, and telefonica, gathered to share their insights and perspectives on how the evolution of 6G technology is expexted to unfold.
6G technology offers improved network resilience with remarkable bandwidth, fostering virtual education via XR headsets, aiding UN Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, 6G enhances the consumer experience, reducing signal dropouts in elevators through advanced 2D to 3D transition and better device localization. The panel also underscored that in the 6G environment, the implementation of smart labeling will enable comprehensive product tracking. While this may raise privacy concerns, it promises substantial utility, particularly in fields such as supply chain logistics.
If 5G is a banana, what is 6G? “It has the potential to change the world,” said Samsung at the IFA event in Berlin, without any shame.
The future is bright, my friends! Projections suggest that the incredible power of 6G will grace our hands around 2030. So, let’s keep our excitement in check for just a bit longer and get ready for what’s to come!
Cybersecurity
The current increase in ransomware attacks demonstrates just how difficult it is to curb cybercrime and why a more streamlined approach is crucial.
In 2022, as reported in the IBM Security X-Force Threat Intelligence Index 2023, 17% of cyberattacks took the form of ransomware attacks. Furthermore, a global coalition named the International Counter Ransomware Initiative (CRI), spearheaded by the United States, has come together to make a joint commitment to combat ransomware. This coalition boasts the participation of 48 countries, alongside the European Union and Interpol, establishing itself as the world’s largest cyber partnership. In the first half of this year, victims paid ransomware groups $449 million, according to Chainalysis. If this trend continues, 2023 could become the second-most profitable year for ransomware actors, reaching nearly $900 million, following 2021.
As tech evolves, so do threats. Cybersecurity remains vital, demanding better solutions to safeguard data and systems.
Augmented and Virtual Reality
Meta’s latest VR headset, the Quest 3, retains the goggle-like design. However, it leans more towards mixed reality, hinting at a future where head-mounted devices blend the digital world with our surroundings. This shift could make headsets less obtrusive and more user-friendly.
Mark Zuckerberg unveiled two new products: an updated VR Quest headset and Meta-powered smart glasses by Ray-Ban, at the Meta Connect developer conference. In his keynote, Zuckerberg stressed his belief in a future where the physical and digital worlds seamlessly blend. He also referred to the Quest 3 as the first “mainstream reality headset” in the industry.
Over the years, from 2016 to 2022, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has consistently lauded the potential of augmented reality, highlighting its exciting journey into the future.
April 2023: Cook again explained Apple’s interest in AR while being interviewed by GQ’s Zach Baron
AR and VR technologies will have a more significant presence, not only in gaming and entertainment but also in areas like education, training, and remote work!
Biotechnology
Biotechnology buzzes with an electrifying energy, and the reasons are crystal clear. Our deepening insights into genetic blueprints, cellular functions, and molecular intricacies open doors to breathtaking possibilities. From groundbreaking disease therapies to eco-friendly farming methods, biotech offers an awe-inspiring glimpse into a future sculpted by innovation.
aldane was the greatest scientist of the 20th century predicts that by 2074, more than 70% of humans would be born from an artificial womb. The intersection of biotechnology and IT will lead to significant advancements in fields like genomics, personalized medicine, and health informatics.

Blockchain and Cryptocurrency
Crypto could give everyone a digital financial address.
Gideon Lichfield is a british journalist talk to michael casey, chief content officer of the cryptocurrency news site, coindesk.
Gideon lichfield siad that i actually think that despite my skepticism, I’m relatively bullish for the future of the blockchain and crypto cause i think so many people are working on different variations of this technology. That there is still going to an industry in 5 or 10 years time.I’ve no idea what it’s going to be doing. Perhaps I will be proved wrong on a lot of the things I’ve said about how susceptible it is to fraud and corruption or how difficult it is it is to use. Maybe those problems will be solved, and Michael is right. Most revealing and possibly most realistic is that crypto does have a future, but it’s one in which it’s been co-opted by the existing big tech platforms.
Automation and Robotics
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) keeps getting more popular because it helps companies become more efficient by using automation for specific tasks.
We have more than 750,000 mobile robots in our operations and thousands of other robotic systems that help move, sort, identify and package customer orders. It’s taken us more than 10 years to reach this scale. We take a purpose-driven approach to how we design and deploy technology at our facilities, and we consistently prioritize using robots to support safety and ease everyday tasks for our employe.Amazon Robotics’ Chief Technologist Tye Brady
Automation will continue to transform industries, with increased adoption of robotics in manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics.
